  10. Probably a very simple answer to this, but I don't know what it is,
  11. so here goes:

  13. I have an Icon graphics application where I save a display to a .gif file
  14. and then use xv to convert the gif file to .ps before printing.
  15.  
  16. Now, I have my background set to the default white, but when I print the .ps
  17. file, the background is very light gray.
  18.  
  19. Why is white not white in this case?
